Rinnai LPG fired water heater and storage system is the first Rinnai product for the UK to combine the advanced technology of its wall-mounted continuous flow water heaters with a stainless-steel storage cylinder.

Case Study: Wooda Farm

Wooda Farm, now in its 40th year, is a family-run campsite in the countryside by the sea at Bude, Cornwall. It features 55 holiday homes, two cottages, and pitches for touring and camping, along with a host of activities and facilities for all the family. Facilities for tourers and campers include three toilet and shower blocks with private wash cubicles, family bathrooms, and dishwashing areas. There are also two 24-hour laundrettes to service all sites.

Already a convert to Rinnai continuous flow water heaters used across the site, owner Graeme Colwell was open to a suggestion from Rinnai to try something different when it was time to renovate one of the shower blocks.

Rinnai explained that the Bio-lpg ready water heater and storage combination was unlike traditional stored hot water systems and would be beneficial for the project as a high-efficiency alternative to gas-fired storage appliances.

Benefits of LPG fired water heaters and storage

“The refurbishment of the shower block and one of the laundrettes was a natural evolution. We needed a hot water system that would easily cater to three washing machines, three baths, 12 basins, and two dishwash sinks,” said Colwell.

“I was initially worried that we were going back to the old Andrew water heater setup we were pleased to see the back of a few years ago. Rinnai persuaded me this was completely different as the cylinder loses very little residual heat unlike a traditional stored system. I have had gas meters/monitors fitted, so give me a season and I will report back on what I have saved in fuel costs. I expect it will be more than worthwhile the capital outlay.”

Advanced Technologies

Rinnai’s high efficiency water heater and storage combination incorporates 35kW and 54kW propane fired water heaters, ensuring that even sites with a smaller gas meter can utilize its advanced technologies.

Because the cylinder is stainless steel, it greatly reduces the weight compared to glass-lined models, making transportation and installation easier. Additionally, the cylinders have extremely low heat loss figures (as low as 1.41kW/h day), meaning customers pay less to maintain the heat within the tank.

Durability and Efficiency

One other benefit of the stainless-steel cylinder is that the material's life expectancy is far greater than that of a glass-lined equivalent, as glass suffers from thermal shock causing it to crack over time.

The 35kW-59.5kW Rinnai system is renewables compatible and supplied pre-fitted with a coil, meaning the primary energy source will always be from renewable gains. The complementary Rinnai water heater will only apply the precise amount of gas to boost the temperature difference.

Leading the Market

The Rinnai Infinity brand carries the widest range of condensing water heaters on the market today, with the most impressive efficiencies in operation, leading the field in technological innovation.

Propane and Bio-LPG Water Heaters

The Infinity Solo range is compatible with both Propane water heaters and Bio-LPG water heaters, making it a versatile choice for various applications. Propane water heaters are ideal for locations where natural gas is not available, providing a reliable and efficient heating solution. Similarly, Bio-LPG water heaters offer an environmentally friendly alternative, utilizing renewable sources to reduce carbon emissions.

By incorporating Propane water heaters and Bio-LPG water heaters, the Infinity Solo range ensures that customers have access to sustainable and efficient heating options. These systems are designed to maximize energy conservation and minimize operational costs, making them a smart choice for any property.
