Caravan and holiday park owners need a continuous flow of temperature safe hot water that will just not run out even at the peakest of peak times.

Many owners and operators have found the solution in the form of a fuel cost effective, energy efficient Rinnai continuous flow gas fired hot water system. Others still struggle with the vagaries and expense of an outdated, inefficient and costly stored hot water system.

Rinnai continuous flow system hot water heaters win easily on running expenses over a stored hot water system every time, as it only uses energy when a tap or shower is turned on.

For example, one four-time winner of the AA Campsite of the Year accolade boasts exceptionally high-quality shower blocks with a supply of never-ending hot water, courtesy of Rinnai’s condensing continuous flow water heaters. And the holiday park is seeing significant savings on fuel since it changed over from its previous stored hot water system.

A chance visit by one Rinnai representative to another site at the beginning of last season coincided with the breakdown of the old hot water storage system. The wheels were swiftly put into motion and a local installer fitted four Rinnai water heaters, which were delivered next day ready to be run on LPG.

Another happy customer, a camping and caravanning centre with its own lake for windsurfing and other water sports, decided to upgrade another shower and toilet block replacing an old inefficient electric system with two energy efficient Rinnai units, externally mounted.

Since then there has been a new phase of building which has provided the site with five much-needed wooden chalets, all serviced with hot water courtesy of Rinnai external units.

“Energy saving considerations are important and we have been impressed by the performance of the Rinnai units in the other shower block and gym which have never suffered a breakdown. We first approached Rinnai after seeing ads in the trade press and our plumber Bob Place was very keen to use them,” comments the site operators..

In this latest refurbishment of a shower block with four showers, eight hand basins and three outside sinks for dishwashing and veg prep see the two Rinnai units performing very well. “In fact, prior to the refurbishment, campers were complaining that there was never enough hot water for them to wash up satisfactorily. Now they are commenting on how hot the water is and say it is brilliant. We are happy because we know the hot water will never run out whatever the demand.” “

Chris Goggin, Operations Director, Rinnai UK, sums up: “A gas fired direct flow system has the technical capability to win hands down over a traditional stored system for the simple reason that hot water stored at a given temperature in a cylinder for brief periods of use in a day will simply drain money whereas a Rinnai system will only use fuel when operative.”
