Rinnai has urged the adoption of a systematic approach to off-grid heating & hot water by using pragmatic, economic and technically feasible solutions to serve both commercial and domestic sectors.  Rinnai’s Operations Director Chris Goggin presented his view to this year’s European Liquid Gas Congress in Lyon, France

He advocated a carbon neutrality strategy that offers clean technologies to satisfy both carbon reducing and decarbonizing customer demands.

“We have changed with the energy transition to now offer the following products, appliances and systems in a variety of fuels - including liquid gas and synthetic products such as the fast-emerging DME. We now offer the following:

  • H1 – Hydrogen blends ready, renewable liquid fuel ready and electric water heating equipment.
  • H2 – Hybrid hot water systems – Including heat pumps, solar thermal, solar PV and electric.
  • H3 – Market leading, low GWP heat pumps.

He added, “We also provide additional information into the work being carried out to ensure off-grid customers of energy will be well provided with operationally efficient and clean fuels. Rinnai and Dimeta have signed an MoU to advance r-DME customer understanding, production and usage.”

Mr Goggin concluded his address to the congress by saying, “Rinnai is committed to designing and producing r-DME low carbon heating to those properties & buildings not connected to the UK national grid. Rinnai will continue to offer technical, economic and practical solutions for UK customers who seek decarbonising DHW and property heat.
